Public Enemies turns Chicago into New Orleans

Following up on last nights' reports about the Public Enemies filming in Chicago, one of our regular Chicago area posters added this bit to our main forum about the filming:

Public Enemies filming rolls on in Chicago

Reports are in that after filming last night, Johnny Depp did meet with a few people who waited patiently near by. And we have another JDR Chicago member reporting that this morning extras are at the Lawrence and Laramie area. We don't know if they will film in that area, or be transported to alternate locations. We are thinking that the filming for the rest of the week will be very fluid and subject to last minute changess. More as we learn it.

Public Enemies filming in Chicago today

More first hand reports are being posted our main forum tonight, saying that Public Enemies filmed on Roscoe and Clark today, inside scenes in early afternoon, outside scenes just before 8 PM local time. Also preparation went all afternoon at the California Clipper where the extras showed up around 4pm. It's assumed that after Johnny Depp left Roscoe and Clark (about 8:30 PM), they were headed to the Clipper. Then Depp reportedly left the area. Further reports are in that he is back on set.

Public Enemies filming - quiet for the weekend

With only a reported 5 more days of filming, the following was posted on our main forum by a Chicago resident, saying that there is chatter that Monday, extras will be reporting to the Lakeview neighborhood for interior and exterior shots. We have no word about who or what is supposed to be filmed. And please remember that this is not confirmation. So those in the area? Keep a sharp eye!

Public Enemies continues to film to Chicago, Depp meets with fans

As filming continued last night/this morning on the Public Enemies Chicago set, a small group of fans quietly gathered and waited. And according to another first hand report on our main forum, they saw some of the filming, including a scene with Johnny and Marion Cotillard.

Sometime close to 2:45am Johnny came out of his trailer and visited with the waiting fans.

Public Enemies filming at Chicago's Auditorium Theater?

We've had first hand reports again on our main board today that Johnny Depp's Public Enemies will be filming at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago and that street barricades are reported to go up in time for rush hour traffic. There has been some internet speculation that these could be the "Stuben Club" scenes. We have no confirmation, but people in the area are reporting in.

Public Enemies, Chicago

Not much out there yet today, so hopefully that means some great work is being done on the Public Enemies set by Johnny Depp! Someone on imdb posted the a link to their Biograph and Chicago PE pics. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v228/kissthesky4371/Public%20Enemies

Appaerntly work is still being done to the facade and the street, so who knows when the fateful scene will be filmed?!
