"Public Enemies" is slated for a July 01 nationwide release by Universal, it's directed by Michael Mann and also stars Christian Bale, Billy Crudup and Marion Cotillard. The film is based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Bryan Burrough.

PUBLIC ENEMIES is based on the true crime book by the same name penned by Bryan Burrough in which Depp plays 1930s gangster John Dillinger.

Public Enemies was directed for Universal by Michael Mann and stars Johnny Depp, Marion Cotillard and Christian Bale. The film was shot on location from March through June mostly in the midwest. As we reported, Public Enemies is scheduled to be released July 01, 2009.
