Has "Public Enemies" filming ended at the Biograph?

Internet postings on forums out there say the Public Enemies cast and crew wrapped Biograph filming last night/this morning. And that, as suspected, Christian Bale seems to have finished his work on Public Enemies as he is needed on Terminator 4 in New Mexico. Also chatter around the net that Johnny Depp and the Public Enemies group will return to the Aragon Ballroom.

More Public Enemies at the Aragon Ballroom

Public Enemies has been filming at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago and using extras that post on the Chicago swing dancing forum posted below, they are reporting about last night's filming, be sure to scroll down. We all know Johnny can't dance. LOL But it's reported that singer vocalist Diana Krall is fabulous in the scenes.

Chicago's Aragon getting a 1930's look

Apparently Johnny was spotted back on the "Public Enemies" there in Chicago set last night/this morning after his award win in LA over the weekend.

"Public Enemies" still in Chicago

Johnny Depp fans are still excited over his 2 big wins last night at the MTV awards. BUT today there is a lot of chat about what's going on this week. It's been widely rumored that we have seen the end of the meet and greets. Makes sense actually. Not sure. BUT I can't encourage people to go if the studio has put an end to them. Go or don't go, but don't be disappointed if there isn't one. Who knows what will happen as time goes by?

It looks like Chicago's Portage theater and, as I said earlier, the Aragon Ballroom should be up next as it's been said that the Portage will double for the Biograph interior and not Aurora, WI's Paramount as we thought earlier. And I just have one of those nagging feelings that they haven't finished at the Biograph.

Friday night at the Biograph

Today's internet chat hints that Public Enemies filming at the Biograph was pretty much uneventful for the cast and crew last night, however some drunks were arrested. Johnny Depp and Christian Bale while reportedly filming several days there may not be finished at the Biograph and we know from the recent street closures notice (see Thursday's post) they are TENTATIVELY scheduled to film at the Aragon Ballroom over the next few days. That should be Johnny and Marion Cotillard. But this schedule's always changing. Stay tuned.
